IV. Presentation By Ashlee & Natalie
Things to Ask Yourself:
|
V. WordMaking Activity: Decolonizing Buzzwords and Academic Trends (In Honor of Native Feminists) (complete the handout in class or send email to carmen.kynard@tcu.edu) This activity is asking you to name and trace your intellectual and political lineage rather than extract from hallowed grounds for individual advantage and promotion. Here is a sentence starter: When I say ____, I mean _____. I borrow from _____ with the intention to _____. |
VI. Small Group Discussions w/ Reporting Back
VII. Open Discussion (in time remaining)
- Choose a facilitator today who will take notes and present back what your groups said. Please remember that you are reporting a synopsis of the whole group's thinking and not the statements individual members or the thoughts of just yourself. Submit what you write for the group notes at the end of class or email to carmen.kynard@tcu.edu if you prefer digital/phone note-taking.
- Choose a timekeeper who will make sure everyone shares and keeps the group on time, as much as that is possible.
- Each member should share ideas about what you have written for today. Remember that NOT everyone has read your chosen text.
- As a group, think through and answer the following: what explicit connections can we make amongst these readings? These can be very specific moments, general connections, and/or references to other authors/texts.
